SYCSS has two Precision 185s docked on Saylorville Lake. These are very fast dinghys with a wide beam, which makes them very stable and forgiving for new sailors. While they are a dinghy and can capsize, they are great for learning to sail and read the wind. And given their light weight and high sail area, they can also MOVE, even when the wind is light. In fact they will hold their own against technically 'much faster' sport boats if racing starts to interest you.
