Located 15 minutes north of Des Moines, Iowa, Saylorville Lake is home to the Saylorville Yacht Club Sailing School (SYCSS) and the Saylorville Yacht Club (SYC). For over 15 years, the SYCSS has been educating Iowans about how to sail - alums of the SYCSS have gone on to be cruisers on Saylorville, race at national championships, and travel the world while living on their boats. 

Anyone can learn to sail. We have had engineers, teachers, doctors, insurance agents, grandparents, teens, and many others all learn to sail and we look forward to having you join us to see how much fun it can be!
